Volunteer Opportunities at the Whale Interpretive Centre
The WIC is actively recruiting volunteers to assist in upcoming projects. Some responsibility of the Centre’s volunteer include:
• Cleaning and articulation of marine and terrestrial skeletons;
• Maintenance and cleanliness of the museum;
• Creating and improving interactive educational displays and programs;
• Delivering interpretive Information to the many visitors about the local marine mammals, aquatic environment and marine conservation. (Once training is completed).
The WIC requires a commitment of a minimum of 20 hours from volunteers. Volunteers must meet the minimum age requirement of 15 years.
